What is Fault-Tolerant Control?

•     A fault-tolerant control system identifies and compensates for failed control system elements and allows repair while continuing an assigned task without process interruption.

What is surge?

                  Every  Axial  and  Centrifugal Compressor experiences a damaging phenomenon known as Surge when the flow through the compressor drops below a certain level

                   It results in Self oscillations of pressure and flow, often including a flow reversal

Feedback:
          Control action after an error exists.
Feed forward:
           Reacting to the disturbance before the  error occurs.
